Life's not a Mown Lawn

Growing up in Austria I loved the boundless meadows covered with dandelions. There is a saying in Austrian (which is a dialect of German) that became the title for this painting: "S'Lebn is ka Gmahte Wiesn" - which means that life does not present itself as a mowed lawn that is easily walked through. That is true for most of us.... and yet, it can be so very beautiful.

Please NOTE:

This painting had been damaged with two small tears in the canvas, but has been repaired in the back and touched up in the front to where you are not able to tell.

It is framed in an oak finish floater frame and equipped with a hanging wire.
